To whom it may

I just wanted to
take a minute to tell you how much I love your product. I use it to
prepare fee schedules so that I can double check to see that the insurance
companies are paying me properly. I had looked at other products, but
they either didn't do what I wanted, or they did lots more than I needed, and
were therefore, much more expensive than RBRVS EZ-Fees. I wish I would
have known about this product years ago. It is perfect for the physician
office administrator looking to make fee schedule preparation easier for a
reasonable cost. Thanks for a great product at an
affordable price.

RBRVS
EZ-Fees has been excellent for creating and verifying all our RBRVS based fee
schedules and contracts. We just select a percent increase in Fee Manager and
click a button. No more formulas and government downloads. Since using EZ-Fees we found codes that we
should have been using and increased our revenue by 5-7%. In a medical practice
that means thousand of dollars annually.

RBRVS
EZ-Fees is superb for creating dynamic variables by specialties or payer
schedules linked to frequencies. Just change the Fee Manager percentage and
click. Viewing several fees at the same
time helps valuation of contracts too.

I just wanted to re-emphasize the value of the

condensed information really makes this product a valuable tool.

RBRVS
Helps Analyze Physicians Payments
By Helen Butler, MBA Bexar Hematology & Oncology
Helen
Butler, MBA, negotiated contracts as the administrator
for physician owners of Bexar Hematology & Oncology
Associates in San Antonio, Texas, and other providers in
her medical management consulting practice.
In the course of her work, she used to spend long
periods of time waiting for a response from a Medicare,
Medicaid, managed care company or other third-party
payer representative.
No
more since Butler purchased RBRVS EZ-Fees from Wasserman
Medical Publishers.
RBRVS EZ-Fees is a low-cost software program that
creates and analyzes physician payments using
Medicare’s Resource Based Relative Value Scale
(RBRVS).
RBRVS EZ-Fees creates fee
schedules for any area of the country within seconds
without using mathematical formulas or file downloads.
Users can export fees, unit values, descriptions
and notes for over 10,000 CPT/HCPCS codes as they appear
in the Federal Register into Excel, Lotus, dBase or
ASCII text files. The
company also offers two professional versions providing
J Codes, LAB, DMEPOS, ASC and DRG pricing.
“What’s unique about the
RBRVS EZ-Fees is that you can go in and select the
correct GPCI (Geographic Practice Cost Indices) for a
county and tag the CPT procedure codes that apply,”
Butler said. “This
software covers the whole gamut of coding and fee
information including hard-to-find J Codes for drugs and
injectables. For the consulting practice, I can find codes and fees for
clinical laboratory services and durable medical
equipment. Besides
fee information, there are many useful coding tips,
unbundling alerts and status indicators.”
One of benefits of the software, Butler said, is the
time saving it provides.
“I no longer have to delegate staff members to
key in information manually or have to spend a lot of
time to get the codes and correct fee information.
I just punch some keys, peg the codes and export
everything into a spreadsheet or a medical management
software program. We
also check the Web site for free updates,” she said. “It’s a powerful administrative tool, and its importing
and exporting capabilities are very easy to use.”

RBRVS Fee Schedule
Software Offers User-Friendly Solution
By Michael
Dennison, Data Analyst
GEHA (Government
Employee's Hospital Association) Lee's Summit, MO.
Reimbursing
physicians at a level they find equitable while still making enough to meet
expenses is a challenge all health insurance organizations face. Developing a
system that creates physician fee schedules accurately, easily and quickly is
an absolute necessity when working with thousands of physicians in many areas.
In 1998, the
Government Employee's Hospital Association (GEHA), based in Lee's Summit, MO,
decided to use the Health Care Financing Administration's (HCFA) Resource Based
Relative Value Scale (RBRVS) for its physician fee schedules in selected areas.
We had never used
RBRVS before, as we developed proprietary fee schedules the previous year.
Initially, using the RBRVS system was long and arduous because of the multiple
tables used in the fee-schedule development. It was also very repetitive as we
used the same process for each different area or physician group, but only a
couple components changed each time. Eventually we created a database
application coded in Visual Basic for Applications to shorten the process. This
system was somewhat flexible, but not very user-friendly or easy to use.
In late 1998, we
started looking for easier alternatives to creating physician fee schedules. We
needed a program that was accurate, flexible and easy to use. We chose RBRVS
EZ-Fees, an economical and user-friendly software package from (Wasserman
Medical Publishers, West Allis, WI 800 669-3337 We are currently incorporating
RBRVS EZ-Fees into an expanded system that will not only create physician fee
schedules, but also will allow basic user-level analysis of the fee schedules.
Currently, our system of fee schedule analysis starts with the network
development department, which generates a fee schedule from our database
application based on the percentages they desire. The database application
creates a text file, which the data analysis department then transfers to the
mainframe and generates a comparison report using FOCUS. This comparison report
compares the proposed fees to various benchmarks, which gives us a basic
analysis including what kind of discount that fee schedule will give GEHA.
Depending on workload, this whole process could take a day or longer.
To shorten this
time, we recently decided to transition all basic-level fee schedule analysis
to the network development department, including comparison report generation.
RBRVS EZ-Fees will help us achieve that objective several ways. Features
By using RBRVS
EZ-Fees, we can transition the network development department with minimal
training. "Right out of the box," RBRVS EZ-Fees is easy to use and
the buttons/controls are logically organized and self-explanatory. With just a
couple of mouse clicks, we can create a Medicare fee schedule for any area we
need. With just a few more clicks, we can customize that schedule to any
percentage or conversion factor. The big advantage RBRVS EZ-Fees has over our
in-house database is that it allows us to adjust any number of fees in any
number of different code ranges.
Another very
important feature to us is the import/export capability. To analyze the fee
schedule against the benchmarks, we can export the fee schedules we created in
RBRVS EZ-Fees to several formats. The most helpful formats for us are the
comma-separated value and the Microsoft Excel formats. We can import the Excel
file into a spreadsheet template, import the benchmarks, and we complete a
comparison report. If we need to "tweak" individual codes or ranges
of codes, we can import the Excel file back into RBRVS EZ-Fees after making
minor modifications to the spreadsheet.
Finally, RBRVS
EZ-Fees was very economical. We paid only $199 per copy for a program that looks
better and runs better than the application that took us weeks to create. The
economical price allows us to give multiple users the ability to create and
analyze fee schedules inexpensively.
Two other points
impressed us about RBRVS EZ-Fees. The first is the program was on CD, which
made for easier installation. The second is when we had questions concerning
certain features. The technical staff was friendly, courteous and very
knowledgeable about the program. Best of all, the answers were free.
Once we finish
implementation, RBRVS EZ-Fees will give us the capability to generate the
physician fee schedules we need quickly, easily and inexpensively. This will,
in turn, allow faster analysis by the people who need the information and will
allow other personnel to focus on other projects.

To whom it may
concern:
I have used your products for several years and recently purchased
your latest program, the Correct Coder. We have been using this for several
weeks now and have found it to be a tremendous help in auditing of medical
bills. The "Validate List" feature is terrific, allowing us to
quickly detect unbundling of charges and assure the commercial insurance
carriers are not over paying for services. This, combined with the Physicians
Fee Reference, also helps to assure that we are recommending a fair and
reasonable compensation to medical care givers for treatment. I look forward to
trying your next new product! Thanks for helping to make our job more
efficient!

mailed to us anymore.
I would recommend this website to any of my peers
looking for a quick and accurate way to code.
Keep up the great work.
P.S. Thank you
